Advanced Podiatry Treatments
We offer Nail Surgery to resolve some nail problems
Clearanail treatments for Fungal Nail Infections
As Registered Podiatrists we can offer treatments that are more advanced than the Core/Routine footcare, these treatments require longer appointments, local anaesthetic or additional equipment.
Verruca
Needling
For Verrucas (and warts) that have been present for a long time, and not responding to other treatments, verruca needling is a treatment option.
Following the administration of local anaesthetic, the verruca is punctured multiple times. The aim of this treatment is to stimulate the bodys natural immune response to fight the virus that causes the the verruca.
Clearanail for
Nail Fungus Infections
There are different treatment options for fungal nails, including topical lacquers, prescribed medication and where these have been ineffective or not suitable, we can offer treatment with the Clearanail system.
The clearanail system drills small holes in the affected nail so that a daily application of an antifungal spray can be more effective at treating the nail, and the nail bed itself to help prevent the infection spreading or clear it completely.
Nail Surgery Under Local Anaesthetic
Nail Surgery can help with ingrowing toe nails, thickened toe nails, fungal nails, involuted nails.
Following the the local anaesthetic administration, either part of, or the full nail is removed.
Where needed a chemical (Phenol) is used to stop the nail regrowing
A dressing is then applied
A review appointment is needed 2-3 days afterwards
